A Lot Happens in a Month!

A lot has happened since our last blog entry! Let's try to summarise.. We've doubled up on production, which means double the bars of soap for the same amount of time spent making them! It was an easy transition which mainly just required some larger equipment for soaping, that was a fun trip into town! We've begun selling gift boxes of soap! You can now buy any 3 of our wonderful bars for £12 and they'll come neatly wrapped up in one of our fully recyclable gift boxes. It was harder than I had imagined to find the perfect style of box for this, but I couldn't be happier with the final result. The box has a rustic vibe to it, I think it really suits the soaps which come wrapped in natural hessian. It's a sturdy box too, so you can reuse it afterwards and I'm sure it will smell great after having those soaps nestled inside.

Our soaps are now for sale in Bread and Butterflies! Bread and Butterflies is a tea room and gift shop located in the middle of Lady Bay, West Bridgford in Nottingham. They make delicious food and sell all sorts of gift items which are locally made. They reached out to me after having seen the soap online and I was more than happy for them to stock our soaps! I think that the style of their tea room really compliments our soaps, it's a great environment for people to spend an afternoon. You can check out their website at www.breadandbutterflies.co.uk and if you're ever in Lady Bay, pop in for a while!

The next step for us is to find more places to sell our soaps! We were told about a vegan market located in Sneinton, Nottingham, which takes place on the first Saturday of each month. I'm going to visit the market tomorrow to check it out! Ideally, we'll find more shops or cafés etc. in which we can stock our soaps and hopefully some markets at which we can sell. That means the rest of the time, all the focus is on making more beautiful soaps!
